Co-Founder
Brenda Lochhead
Brenda Lochhead has over 30 years of experience in anti-violence work and is a recognized leader in supporting victims of human trafficking. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology with distinction from Simon Fraser University. Brenda played a key role in developing a collaborative support framework in BC alongside the Vancouver Police Human Trafficking Unit and co-developed provincial training for RCMP and service providers.
Known for her impactful, systems-focused approach, Brenda works to improve prevention, intervention, and support—particularly for youth. She received the 2018 Services to Victims, Community Safety & Crime Prevention Award from the BC Ministry of Public Safety. Her expertise is recognized internationally, and she continues to advocate for youth affected by human trafficking and sexual exploitation through her work with Four Corners.

Kiran Toor
Kiran has worked in the anti-violence sector for 12+ years with a comprehensive background in justice, victim support, and social services. She holds a Master of Arts in Justice Studies, where her thesis, “First Response: Centering Victim Care in Human Trafficking,” received exceptional recognition and was ranked within the top 5% of work by the external examiner.
Kiran’s career includes frontline service, supervision, provincial policy, training initiatives, and strategic leadership across the non-profit and justice sectors. Her work is grounded in trauma-informed practice, systems coordination, and strengthening service responses for vulnerable populations.
In addition to her leadership work, she serves as a casual Justice Studies instructor, contributing to the academic and professional development of emerging practitioners.
